I am Saradindu Adhikary, born in a musician’s family.  I took my first lessons from my father, Mr. Gobardhan Adhikary.  My father is a representative of Benaras Gharana, a very prominent school of tabla playing.   Then I came to my present present guru Pandit Tanmoy Bose, one of the foremost exponents of Farukhabad Gharana.   He is my friend, philosopher and guide... and also a great Percussionist (Grammy Award Winner). It is, needless to say, that the style of Farukhabad Gharana is the most popular style now. I have been learning with Pt. Tanmoy Bose for the last 20 years in Guru-Sishya-Parampara.

I have travelled and performed worldwide with various famous musicians of India.  I presented myself as an accompanist with many well known musicians like Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty, Prof. Sanjoy Bandopadhyay, Smt. Subhra Guha, Pt. Kushal Das, Smt Kousiki Chakraborty etc. and shared the stage with great musicians like Pandit Tanmoy Bose, Ustd. Taufiq Qureshi, Mallar Ghosh etc.  I also had the opportunity to assist Ustad Amjad Ali Khan in his workshop.

I also take interest in experimental music and associated with a number of experimental productions like "Tal Tantra" [a world music project organised by Pt. Tonmoy Bose].

I visited and performed in France, Morocco, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, and the Middle East.
